About Me…
Freelance Writer and Photo Editor
I discovered my love of reporting when I went to work at a small newspaper as a graphics designer and ended up doubling as a reporter.
Next on the career ladder was office manager for an internet service provider where I learned a lot about the internet and UNIX. Followed by writing HTML for an online magazine that allowed me to work from home. Thinking I needed a career with more physical activity, I became a purchasing agent. Wanting to be outside more I went to work for the United States Army under the NAF program.
In 2020, after reassessing and picking my favorite aspects of each job, back to college I went. Third time is the charm, right? My plan was to dust off the cobwebs and be a travel writer. I now find myself writing features. Funny how life goes in circles.
In my spare time I enjoy kayaking, adventures, learning new things, genealogy, reading, crafts and restoring old photos. Happily married, mother of six and Nana to eight, very blessed. My husband (Military) has relocated us several times throughout our marriage but now that he is retired, we are settled in Missouri. We still spend several months a year traveling though.
